Sustainable University Day 2015
18 March 2015 | University of St. Gallen

The Sustainable University Day is the annual congress of the Sustainable Development at Universities Programme 2013-2016 (sd-universities programme). In 2015, it took place for the second time.

The organisers
The University of St.Gallen puts great emphasis on responsibility and sustainability and integrates their requirements in all its activities, particularly in education, in student engagement, research, public engagement, infrastructure and administration. In order to support the coordination and focus on sustainable development, the university has appointed a delegate for responsibility and sustainability (2011).

The sd-universities programme is run by the Network for Transdisciplinary Research (td-net) of the Swiss Academies of Arts and Sciences on the basis of a mandate by the Swiss Conference of Higher Education Institutions (SHK) and in partnership with the Mercator Foundation Switzerland. The td-net supports the Swiss Academies of Arts and Sciences in fostering exchange and collaboration among disciplines as well as between science and society.
